Lovely, friendly and polite staff. Fire door banging next to our room all first night which kept us awake. Informed staff next morning and it was sorted out by the afternoon. Tired decor considering it was the executive luxury room. Bed wasn’t the best to sleep on. Breakfast was good, again, really attentive staff.

Well done Rutland.
Rutland Hotel is a first class hotel. Room clean and comfortable. We found the friendliness of the staff exceptional. Especially Paul,Anna and Sophie. Nothing was too much trouble to them. Really made our holiday. Paul is the chef in this hotel and his cooking is first class. Would return again. Well done.

Old style hotel right on the promenade in Douglas. Our room was very small & out the back of the hotel, with no ventilation. There was a small fan supplied in the room which had little effect.

Great Place To Stay In Douglas
I visited the IoM for the Classic TT races. I found the hotel expensive compared to other stays in the UK, but it was a good rate for the local area in this peak demand time. The hotel room was very good and well laid out. The sea view from my room window was much appreciated. The room was clean and serviced daily. The staff were always pleasant and helpful. The included breakfast was excellent. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would definitely stay here again.

Good value
The lift was very old and small so took a while if other were using it, but the hotel is in a good position and the staff were excellent. Overall it is very good value for the cost.

Clean and tidy hotel.
Clean and tidy rooms. Obviously caters mainly for coach parties, and the breakfast buffet was a little basic. But fine for a night.

Would definitely use again, the hotel itself is getting a bit used in places, my room was all good, comfy bed, the most powerful shower I have ever had, cubicle was a bit cramped but I am used to a large cubicle at home, hot water was constant and hot, room was serviced every day, tea and coffee and a biscuit replenished daily, breakfast was self serve with cereals fruit eta as well as usual hot food full English type, as much has you want. Evening meal was ok, £10 for main course and a drink, so I ate there 3 nights out the 6, 6 out of 10 . Staff were excellent, plenty of them, had a lounge with bar, no entertainment on while I was there, but like I say I would use again

A gem of a place
A really lovely hotel with spacious and comfortable rooms. I was lucky to have a balcony and seaview, which was stunning. Breakfast in the morning was fresh, tasty and plentiful. I'll be staying here on my next trip, really enjoyed it.

A pleasant weekend break.
I very much enjoyed my stay here. A very nice buffet breakfast, excellent service & a spotless room with a very good shower. The only slight gripe I have is the lift is too small holding only two or three people at a time. i do admit though that there is not much, if any ,space to improve it. If you have difficulty with stairs I would recommend avoiding the fourth floor room. that we had. I am hoping to stay here again in the autumn as I felt it was good value for money.

Downward sloping room; HOT top floor
The bed was at a 2-3 degree up angle! The floors were warped or had settled such that you were forced to sleep uphill. Front desk attendant stated that "All rooms are a bit wonky." Good breakfast but the Golden Corral crowd is there before you and stays long after you leave. Avoid this hotel as others nearby are closer, cheaper, and nicer.
