Dongtan Beach

Dongtan Beach is located between Pattaya South and Jomtien Beach. It is approximately 1 kilometre in length and is wider than its sister beaches, so you have more room to pick that perfect sunbathing spot. The road nearby is pedestrianised, making Dongtan Beach a quieter alternative to the bustling Pattaya Beach. Palm trees are dotted along the shore, creating shade from the sun's rays, perfect for relaxing underneath with a good book or a romantic picnic.

For those who feel more at home in the water than on dry land, Dongtan Beach is a great location for water sports and other activities. If you just want a soothing dip in the ocean, safe swimming zones are clearly marked out for you. Try some windsurfing or hire a jet ski and take to the high seas. Parasailing is also very popular in the area. Soar high above the blue waters and take in the view of Dongtan Beach's amazing natural beauty. Tourists can always be seen fishing here and you can have the satisfaction of catching your own meal. The beach restaurants are happy to clean and cook your catch and serve it up to you.

If you haven't managed to reel in a barracuda, other food and drink services are available all day, so you'll never have to leave the beach in order to get a light meal or a refreshingly cool cocktail. The beach is popular with same-sex couples, but it is not an exclusively same-sex beach. Tourists and locals of all ages and sexes enjoy the serene atmosphere, sun-drenched sands and cool waters.
