"Even though I stayed one night, it was an amazing night. From check in, dinner at the bar, pool having an amazing few of the ocean & cruise ship leaving. The water in the shower gets hot hot (I love it), beds are firm but the pillows are soft. I stayed after the carnival season, but will book again just for a regular vacation because how stunning the property is, how helpful & friendly the staff are & how close it is for me to walk to town. Best part of this stay was a shuttle to the airport....

"Burkey's place is beautiful, well stocked and relaxing! We went with two young kids, and we enjoyed the ability to wash our clothes and make dinner, while still being in a unique Jungle setting. Would definitely recommend, especially to a couple or two couples traveling together. "

"Overall we loved it, though it would have been good to know that you can't drive to the hotel if you don't have a proper 4WD as it is located at the end of a long and steep tarished road. Luckily the hotel offers an transport service for the dirty road between 8am and 5pm. They also offer food(preorder only) and drinks at the bar. The staff was very nice and always helpful. Our favourite was the weekday driver. The cottage had a very nice kitchen unfortunately not much utensils in it... Being so...

"Personal, friendly and welcoming staff. Our unit was spacious and private but needed screens in our windows. No air conditioning, so the need of fans and windows opened were necessary. Shuttle service to and from the airport need to be listed as an amenity for the property. The road to the property is precarious to say the least, and taxi cabs do not want to go the last 1/4 mile. Obtain the telephone number to the property and they will meet you where the pavement ends. Seclusion and peace are wonderful attributes there. Would love to return for another visit. We spent 10 days there. Food is available but you need to know the hours of availability and let them know what what meal periods you will be attending."
