"Staff were extremely helpful and welcoming, food was superb , loved the room we stayed in with plenty of space to move about and cosy in the same time "
"What an excellent country pub. We have a lovely steak meal and used the garden to sit outside and have a drink before retiring to our room. The staff were welcoming, attentive and friendly.Breakfast was well cooked and very enjoyable.
Our room was lovely and clean but the toilet flush didn’t work as well as it should.
Overall we had lovely meals and a great stay made better by the welcoming friendly and attentive staff"
"Impressive period property outside with very pleasant interior. Cheerful lady at reception. Spacious room for 2. Comfortable beds and scrupulously clean. Would visit again when in the area. "
"My stay was lovely and peaceful, after my working day had finished. (It was not a holiday break) unfortunately. The surroundings were fantastic, I felt really chilled after work.
Would definitely stay again."
"I booked this property because it acepts dogs. When I arrived the owner was quite horrible with me about my dog. Apparently you need to state about your dog coming even though the website doesn't state that! Poor communication and as a paying customer I was put off by the owners attitudes "

"Very comfortable room and swimming pool and amenities were very good "
"This was my second visit. I love staying here. The staff are most welcoming, as are the locals. The hospitality, food and beers are all excellent. The hotel building, bar, restaurant and grounds are most pleasant. The cuisine was served quickly and is very tasty. It is in a lovely place, which is quiet and also not too far from the town. It is also easily accessible. Very easy going and no complications. If I go to Ipswich again I will stay at The Sorrell Horse again!"
"First time we have been to this hotel and we were delighted, will stay again if we can get the free cancellation option as we would be booking a long time out."
"Nice quick check in,room nice and clean and beds very comfortable.Bathroom nice and clean ,plenty of towels , toiletries provided. Was a hairdryer, only thing would have been nice to have a socket near a mirror when drying your hair. This room we had this time was a lot noiser from all the traffic .Breakfast had plenty of choice ,nice to have brand name cereals, cooked breakfast was okay but mushrooms were nearly raw and fried eggs were quite rubbery looking and hard "
