"We did not opt for the meal package so it’s possible we missed out on an amazing experience there but we did not miss out on the top level experience of the Kitanoya. Full Japanese ryokan room with the most luxurious 2 person open air granite ofuro I have ever seen let alone enjoyed with a delightful garden beyond. We chose this place to unwind from the crowds of Kyoto and we could not have made a better choice. Service was impecable. Can I give it a 6? The hotel matches the incomparable beauty and serenity of Amanohasidate. Arigato Hotel Kitanoya. "

"In Japan for a month. This was by far the best place I stayed. Staff was amazing. Food is great. Rooms are clean and spacious. And the onsen is relaxing and peaceful.
