"Wonderful experience. Beautiful area--rooms have amazing views. Right next to the park with lots of animals in view. Easy to grab a truck to explore the inside of the park. "Recently stayed here for two nights on our honeymoon trip to Kenya. After a week on safari the amenities were much appreciated, and from our experience, this hotel is one of the most luxurious in the country. WiFi in common areas was fine, room views of watering hole were amazing. Staff was extremely friendly. Lots of animals everyday at the watering hole, there are many openings to the outdoors so plan on bringing warm clothes even when hanging out inside. The beds could afford to be a bit more...

"We were assigned at the last cottage which is very far from the reception. There was no transport avail for us to go to and fro the resto and recep area. That’s why we opted for room service for both dinner and breakfast since it is unsafe to go to the restaurant when there is no ample lighting and the way up is not very well lit and not cemented. It could have been better if they asked us our cottage preference especially that we are not from Kenya ans it is our first time in the country. "

"Crate Lake was much more than I imagined it would be. The tranquility of the lake meant relaxation was at maximum as soon as we arrived. There was not mosquitos due to the alkaline nature of the lake so nothing to worry about apart from drinking in nature, fresh air and serenity. Staff were so welcoming and accommodated requests readily and happily. There are many steps to get to the camp but this would only be an issue if you had someone with a disability or was not very able physically. "

"Amazing place. My Dad had a good time. It was a nice stay as it was a treat for the easter season. The staff were accomadating due to late check in and kindly agreed for Dad to check out late and have lunch the next day which was a nice gesture. Will recommend the lodge. "The hotel staff and everyone at the Midland hotel makes the experience a great stay every time we go, however, the hot water is spotty at best. Last year I didn’t get one hot shower my entire stay. This year, I had exactly one hot shower. Love the hotel, the staff and the rooms are good. Street side rooms are a little noisy since I live in the country and am not used to any traffic. I switched to the opposite side of the building and it was much quieter. Overall, great place to stay!"
