"We stayed for one night as we needed somewhere to stay on our way somewhere else. I wasn't sure what to expect, as this property is listed as high end and luxurious, but it wasn't quite so. It was clean, and the staff were friendly. The food was also very good but portion sizes could be bigger. I am not a big eater so one slice of toast with my avocado toast breakfast was ok, but for a man it's definitely not enough. "I was driving from Ottawa to Niagara Falls. I stopped here to spend the night so that I could break up the long drive. It is conveniently located literally at the end of the off ramp. It was quiet, easy check in and suited my needs. Would stay again the next time I need to do that same drive."

"Timber house is situated close to the lake in a quiet natural setting. The hosts were truly exceptional starting with a delicious breakfast cooked to order. I loved the carrot muffins and french toast. My car broke down in the parking lot and the host was able to connect me with the help I needed. I highly recommend Timber House for a retreat close to quaint friendly towns and nice restaurants. "
