"What an unexpected treasure Château de La Ballue. I had booked this stay while touring the Normandy beach landings for just one night. What a shame we were only there for such a brief time. The home is charming and beautiful. The room was perfection and the grounds were such a surprise. I had no idea they were world class manicured gardens complete with a labyrinth! "It was in a lovely square. Car traffic was limited, mostly pedestrians, and there was immediate access to shops, dining and the beautiful ramparts and beach."

"I chose this hotel because of the close vicinity to train station two minutes away when visiting St Malo. The bus station is also close by making it very convenient when we visited Mt Saint Michel. Accommodations were very nice and if they had a mini-frig and microwave, this would have been perfect. The property was well maintained and if I had any other recommendations, it would be to replace the carpeting but otherwise, I would recommend this hotel for others that do not want to be near city center."
