"Everything was great until we asked for an ice bucket to keep our water bottles cold. There are no fridge in the rooms. Although they FINALLY gave us an ice bucket, they outright refused multiple times. They told us we could have one glass of ice. Around 10pm, the office staff switched off the internet, phones, etc. and left the premises. The security guards said this was because there was a storm. "We went to Eswatini for a Hawane dam fishing trip. Hawane resort was a excellent place to stay , with friendly staff. Unfortunately Hawane dam access is now controlled by Malaloja game reserve and even with a fishing license obtained by Malaloja, we found it extremely difficult to enter the dam premises. It is also extremely sad to see and hear that they allow nets in Hawane dam. We caught this carp, removed pieces of net from it, and released him."

"Grounds are well kept. Food is OK. Rooms are old, damp, mildewed . Towels and linen mildewed. Staff were slow to respond to needs and unfriendly. Jacuzzi was broken. Lobby bathroom was filthy. Spa - not air conditioned, no cold water, reused disposable slippers, changing room - filthy. "

"Very good. Service excellent. Views to die for. Amanda such a good hostess. Food great. The unit we stayed in still needs a few final touch ups eg mirrors, BUT place is being renovated so one can understand- think it is going to be breathtaking once construction us fully finished. Enjoyed our stay- will definitely recommend to others and will go again soon!! "
