"Rakuten villa nikko is like my dreamhouse. Everything you can possibly need are provided. The villa itself makes for a perfect vacation villa with breakfast on the lanai, beautiful TV and sofa area, wonderful setting, sauna and onsen bath. The relaxation area outside the bath smells like you are in the forest! My only complaint would be the checkin email which was never sent. As we need it to get inside the villa. If it was sent automatically, everything would be perfect."

"Really like this apt like hotel. We can relax and cook after day of sightseeing. The room is so spatious that we missed it so much after returning back to Tokyo. The big bath soak is so nice. I do recommend taking a taxi to and from the the train station if you have large suitcases with you. The taxi cost only about 1000jpy using the Go app."

"The place was super clean and comfortable. Close to the Kinugawa Onsen Station. However it’s a bit far if your main interest is to go see the shrines in Nikko. No convenience stores nearby. It would take good 20 min to walk to the nearest grocery store. 2 min by car. It’s a great place if you have a car. "

"If you want a local traditional experience, this stay does not disappoint. The house has everything you need and is located on a very quiet street away from the main roads. Only a 2 minute stroll to the river for som nature. As a bonus, the host will greet you at the train station and provide a ride or ferry your luggage back to the house while you venture off to the shrines.
