"Stayed in an economy single. Not much space, dated, but sufficiently clean, bed was comfortable, hot water worked well. I would put it on par with a private room at a hostel. Not much in the immediate area, but also not that far from a lot of stuff. There’s a little shop almost directly across the street for snacks and water, guy was fair, not trying to scam you (about 10 EGP for a 1.5L water). I walked from the train station, and then to all the major tourist sites. "

"A good hotel except for the tour and excursions manager, who sent me on a 45 minute taxi ride to the ‘pyramids light show’when it wasn’t even on, after i’d asked him on three different occasions to confirm that it was on that night, which he did.Fortunately I had an understanding taxi driver who brought me back to the hotel,after being with him for nearly two hours. An evening wasted. The next day I told the excursions manager about his mistake he just smirked and offered no apology.Not good...
