"This Motel 6 is under new management. They are clearly eager to make sure to take care of the property. The room was very ordinary but it was very clean, especially the bathroom, and it was just what was needed. I ended up arriving earlier than anticipated. So while they did have a clean available room, I was a little disappointed that I was charged a small early check-in fee. Overall, though, happy I stayed there."

"What a great surprise. Found this by browsing for accommodations while passing through the area. It’s a beautiful, historic Inn with excellent breakfast included. A fine dining restaurant is available in the evening. We stayed in one of the 8 cottages surrounding the main house. Property is beautiful with hiking trails and even a historic cemetery. Staff was friendly and accommodated requests. Highly recommend! We will go out of our way to return in the futur."

"The room smelled like mold and cigarettes even though it was supposed to be nonsmoking, the walls are so thin that any conversation a person in a neighboring room is having can be heard. And the only heat source was some kind of AC wall unit that literally started smoking when turned on. When I told the owner about the fire hazard he completely dismissed me and actually laughed at my concern. Do not stay here."

"Lovely property, nice breakfast, clean and all in good condition. I found the stay a little awkward in that we entered an open front door, texted the host as instructed and received no response - it felt a little ‘Home Alone’ ish. "The property was exactly as advertised -- a spacious and well-equipped cottage on a working farm. This is a beautiful part of Virginia with plenty to do if you enjoy the outdoors. And a special bonus is the excellent restaurant, The Blue Door, in nearby Flint Hill. "
