"Neat as a pin, perfectly clean and comfortable. Attentive staff and a very relaxed atmosphere. Safe and secure parking. Rooms are well appointed, linen is spotless, beds are firm and pillows are fresh. Bathroom is tiny but it does the job. The beer is cold, the menu is basic but the chef does a great job and we had a very good meal here. The neighbourhood is quiet and peaceful."

"We stayed 2 nights in Gewta Lodge and had a good time. The lodgings are good (especially for the area) and we enjoyed the activities we booked (overnight pan stay and meerkats tour, baobab sundowner, Nxai pan visit and safari). The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food is great but is actually buffet only even though they have an a-la-carte menu. But when you stay here, you need to understand a few things. Gweta, like the rest of Africa, may have power outages. This affects the entire town and is not the lodge's fault. The wifi is not good, and that may be because of how far Gweta is from the major towns. A few things could be improved to make the stay more comfortable. Firstly, there is no airconditioning in the rooms (only a ceiling fan) and it gets extremely hot in the rooms. If it is not possible to put airconditioning in the rooms, then installing fly screens on the windows and doors would help to air out the heat in the rooms without having mosquitos and other bugs fly into the room. Secondly, the outdoor toilet is a nice idea, but aside from the bugs (including big wasps), the leaves and flowers were actually quite annoying because they cover the entire floor and sink. A material shade over the bathroom would help with that (and the bugs). Thirdly, the bar was empty and they told us to go to the supermarket (which is only a 2 minute walk away) for drinks. If the supermarket is so close, the lodge should be able to keep the bar stocked. Otherwise, thank you!"

"I’ve stayed her many times A pleasant place to stay. My only comment is about the WiFi - it’s awful, it just doesn’t work! "

"Rooms clean and comfortable. A little attention to detail,by the management will make the good. Management forgot to send food from Gabs so staff had nothing to srve in restaurant. Staff need to be empowered to sort out basics like this. You will note by now, that staff try but failure lies at the owners door. Swimming is dry as water gets pumped for miles to the area. Make pool smaller and it might be feasible to fill. The overall place needs maintenance and care as its a bit run down. "

"The two rooms we booked were fine. However, we completed the booking on "hotels.com" and reserved one room with 2 twin beds, which we learned the hotel did not offer. It took us over 30 minutes to check-in, because the reception desk clerk was not able to verify that I prepaid the room. Also, the hotel offers two buildings on the property, and the restaurant and bar are located in separate buildings, which made dining and drinking difficult, and this arrangement should be improved. I was required to order food in one building, then walk to the other building to order beers. Regarding food, we ordered a family dinner and were surprised that the kitchen staff took almost 2 hours to prepare pizza's, salads and a chicken plate. A suggestion is that the kitchen staff be provided better training, to allow for quicker dining experience for patrons."

"First of all it was a bit difficult to find the hotel because of miissing signs. The pool was not clean and was used from people who where not staying in the hotel. The toilett seats were missing. We paid in advanced for breakfast but the stuff did no know about that. So we we got no Breakfast. Really not to recommend"
