"Second time I've stayed here, second time I've loved it. Friendly, helpful staff; nice rooms; relatively quiet: good restaurant and easy walk to several more. It has consistent hot water and is very clean and well-maintained. Stairs required from street to lobby. Elevator available once there. "

"The Abuelo is a jewel of a hotel in the Callejón! Modern, clean and an amazing proprietor. All are helpful and eager to please. Located in the middle of Carhuaz, they can quickly get you the best guides and transport. The cook is fantastic; it thus is the best restaurant in town and one of the best in the Callejón. We travel a lot, are very fluent in Spanish and would rank it among the nicest rural hotels in Latin America!"

"Room had a nice view, it was clean,’spacious room with running hot water 24 hrs a day and good WiFi reception. Breakfast was also good and statusfying. The location is up hill, and it’s about 15 — 10mn walk to the city center. Friendly service from staff! "

"We had a wonderful time at the Alojamiento Bellavista. Manuel, the owner, was very kind, helpful and truly cared about our well-being. The place is rather new and they are still making the place better and better. They were open to constructive feedback and super responsive. The hot water was super hot and helped with the coolness of the rooms. Very warm blankets help sleep confortably through the cool weather at night. Access to the kitchen was super convenient.
