"I stayed here because there was a pool. When I arrived about 8 or 9pm there was a self-check-in at the gate. I was not sent a code, but a friend who spoke French called and got it for me. It was not sent through Hotels.com or by email. Without calling I would have not been able to stay here at all and would have been far from Agen with no room. It is VERY FAR from Agen, not in Agen as listed on the hotels.com site. The pool was covered for the night and opened at 8am the next morning. ...

"Lovely building and we had a really excellent dinner - the catering team was changing so they weren't on their new menu yet so what we had was effectively a one-off. Lots of attention from the chap who was taking over the running of the kitchen. We had an automatic email from the property saying we had pre-payed but when we checked out we were told we hadn't. That caused some confusion especially as the man at checkout kept referring to our Expedia booking - I know Hotels.com is part to Expedia...

"We passed by Agen and decided to stay overnight. The property had been renovated by the current owner and host, Vincent, with tasteful decorations. He offered us excellent wine at evening hours. Without his help we would have missed our train back to Paris. A huge thank you to the host Vincent, a real hospitable host. "

"This is a family business and just starting up. As the photo shows it is a beautiful house with a great deal of care to the interior and exterior design and outside gardens. They have a large number of animals, so anyone with children wil enjoy the dogs, goats, geese, chickens, ducks etc. Very friendly, very helpful - but possibly the fact that they are open could be better advertised - we thought the place was closed and came close to thinking it was the wrong Lacaze (their is another). "Very friendly helpful staff. Clean well kept rooms. A good stop off point between Toulouse & Bordeaux. Middle of nowhere with limited evening dining but takeaway a short 5 min drive away."
