My room didn't need a key card to enter. It would just open. After notifying front desk, I was told it would be fixed. 1 hour later it had not, and I re-enquired.
They told me they weren't able to get a hold of maintenance yet and weren't sure when they would. Then they asked ... ___if it bothered me___ that my room wouldn't lock. After telling them, yes, I wanted a room that locked while I was not in it, they seemed a bit annoyed and gave me another room that I was able to move to upstairs.
Overall. At least they fixed it. But it was kind of insane and I really wanted to be resting and not dealing with this type of thing.
Also as I arrived and parked in the loading bay at check-in, I got out of my car, and some wild dude walked up to me with a plastic bottle and asked if I wanted a shot, which I politely refused and went inside as quickly as possible. It wasn't the only indicator of the state of the area but that was kinda crazy. I didn't feel super safe here, and if I was not a relatively sturdy adult male by myself I would have been exceptionally uncomfortable with all of this even more so. I certainly wouldn't pick this place to bring a family to.
