As a single female traveler the room I stayed in was towards the back of the hotel which during day time was fine. When I returned to the hotel at 11 p.m. the area where I would need to park was rather dark which can be concerning. It looked like the hotel was still undergoing renovations/modernizations, however the room was spacious, beds comfortable and bathroom functional. Would have been nice to have a 2nd trash can in main room near microwave or fridge. Some hangers in the closet would have been useful too. Staff were amazing. Breakfast was nice with a good choice of food.

I have to post something because íts not fair when we are deceived intentionally or unintentionall yhat we were persuaded gave 3 starbecauI did not receive correct info regarding deposit info as well as the online acct rewards site...Expedia! Expedia is another review which I will eventually post on their site I want to help as many as I can be prepared when traveling, and expecting one thing, but receiving another...will be reposting more info about this to help people be prepared when traveling...I am now happy to call Daytona Beach, my new Home! *** For traverls out of state, can you imagine that you book a hotel on vacay, some 1500 miles away from the comfort of your home, u dont know anyone, u dont the area, and now you find urself in a situation without the correct information such as; deposit info, or even documentation such as a Lic or Id. To have the check-in go south because people who supply customer service info to guests don't really care or even know what they talking about...and just want to say, Next please! after a long flight or drive, ur tired , ur hungry, and now you have no bed to sleep in, and you are in sleeping in the rental for the night.,.or a shower to feel refreshed again a included free continental breakfast that was the main reason would book with but now dont exist, after u book and pay upfront on a site where your supposed to a gold, or platinum member unle

This place looked nothing like the photographs It was more like a jail cell. There were no chairs no dressers no table Nothing to put your clothes on or hang them on Toilet paper rolls were missing there was a large hole in the ceiling where someone could crawl through and get into our room I could go on and on but this place was miserable and horrible. 1 housekeeper and 1 maintenance man on the property were very helpful And I think heavens we ran into them The office staff could care less.

We COULD/WOULD NOT stay here, Hurricane or not. After checking in we went to look at the room. No bed skirts, the boxsprings and bed spreads were stained. There was literally spanish moss on the patio door curtains. Large holes in the walls. The caulk in the tub was completely molded. Hall walls halls completely dirty and paint peeling off the handrails. Ceiling leaks in the hallway and tiles coming down. We asked if they had a better room. They gave us the building people live in. The grocery cart and trash in the hall should have been a red flag but we looked anyway. Worse! No pillows, no TV, curtains hanging off the rod, The inside glass of the patio door had been busted out but the glass wasnt entirely removed. The tub was molded and also yellowed. You can't make it up. I was willing to risk a Cat. 4 hurricane than to stay there.

Blood on the walls in the bedroom, trash in the hallways, broken windows, slider door to the room didn't close all the way let alone lock, no lights in the room, homeless people outside begging for money, halls and room smelled of marijuana, NOT SAFE AT ALL!! We immediately left and did not stay. It was clear there was violence in the room given there was blood smeared on the walls. A very scary experience. Pictures are VERY MISLEADING. DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!

Buyer beware! This hotel is a dump . We booked in july on expedia unaware of what we were walking into . The pictures online seemed nice and the price was right . We wrongly assumed the lower price was because of the 30 min drive to the beach (not 16 like what was listed on the web site). We were shocked at what we saw. There was trash everywhere, homeless people with cardboard signs, prostitutes and people using drugs. It appeared people were living there as well. The rooms stunk of mj and the hallway carpets were the nastiest ive ever seen in my entire life. Random men approached us in the parking lot asking for money . I felt so unsafe that i could not stay there. They promised us a refund that was never given. I could understand if we actually stayed there, but for them to charge us for a two night stay when we did not is totally unethical. Im so disappointed that Expedia would have this type hotel on their site. Will never use Expedia or Wyndham ever again..although i doubt either cares.

During my stay at the Baymont Wyndham Daytona Beach FL, I was unfortunately assigned to a room that was already occupied. This posed a safety risk to my family, so we decided to leave and find alternative accommodations.

Where do we start... We stayed at the Baymont for The Daytona Coke Zero 400 on 24 August 2024. The hotel is around 25 - 30 minutes walk from the speedway. At the time of our stay, the check-in area is the only part of the hotel that has been renovated. As we were checking in, another guest came in and refused the room and found alternative accommodation. The pool area was closed (not sure why), the outside door to our block was unsecured, the air conditioner in the common area hallway was broken and the covers off the unit. We walked into our room and it smelled of cigarette smoke, with cigarette butts on the balcony. The sliding door 'lock' was a piece of square tube to keep it from being opened. The room itself is in dire need of refurbishment - the AC unit was noisy and ran constantly, but at least it ran. The bathroom still had hair in the sink and the tub was dirty. The area itself did not feel safe when we walked back after the race at around 11 - 11:30 at night. We went to the race, walked back, locked the door, woke up early for breakfast and left. For the inflated price we paid because of the race, we felt like we had been taken advantage of. For the price charged, we expected a clean, safe and comfortable room. Until the refurbishments are completed, I suggest this place is AVOIDED LIKE IT WAS THE PLAGUE!! DO NOT be fooled by the picture of the web site, it is only that part that looks like that! $30 - 40/night, OK... $400/night - Definitely NOT!

Building still under renovation. Pool was closed, room had only one chair in need of repair, very institutional, walls white, no pictures and no area to store cloths and no hangers. Bed a bit soft but acceptable. Price reasonable for the event we attended.
