"An older property that's well maintained, the El Aurassi has unparalleled views of the harbor and city. Staff are attentive, multi-lingual and food is good. Room was comfortable and clean. Staff stopped by throughout the day to refresh supplies. Shower is an inconvenient setup that allows water to pool on floor. Would definitely stay longer next time."

"Meilleur emplacement que je puisse espérer, il est juste parfait et totalement neuf, inauguré il y’a une semaine environs d’après le réceptionniste repris par la Chaine El Djazair qui gère une dizaine d’hôtels en Algérie. On a accès directe sur la rue principale historique de Didouche Mourad et Place Audin. On peu tranquillement se balader à pied, beaucoup de magasins et restaurants proches. Le must c’est la station de métro juste a coté … super bon plan, une bonne découverte que je recommande...

"It was sold to me as a 4 stars hotels but it is not even a 1 star hotel and I know how 4 stars hotel look like because I stayed in el=Biar hotel for only one night and moved to Holiday Inn a 4 stars hotels. El Biar has not central AC, showers without shower curtains. It was sold to me with 24 hours airport shuttle; this is false. I have used Expedia and Orbitz for over 20 years; I will never used it again and will make sure that my family and friends do the same so that our families vacations...

"The staff of Hotel Suisse were fantastic and very accommodating. They gave me a room in the top 6th floor, which had 3 beds in 3 rooms with a spacious bathroom. Each bedroom had its own split air conditioner (climatiseur). The location is right near the Agha train station, with easy access to the airport, and is near many metro connections. Also, the location is within walking distance of many restaurants, eateries, and shopping places. The value for this hotel was unbeatable. Also, the staff were able to provide good restaurant suggestions, especially for authentic Algerian cuisine. If one has trouble with stairs, I’d suggest one reserve a lower floor, as the elevator only goes to the 5th floor. The hotel itself is also accessible by many flights of stairs from the main roads. The staff can speak some English, but French or Arabic will go a lot farther! I would recommend this hotel to anyone in Algiers for the first time, or looking for a respite in the heart of the old city."
