"Water pressure problems throughout our stay. Hit water coming through both cold and hot taps. We had no shower for the duration of our stay. Kitchen sink has no hot water so we had to wash the dishes with cold water. Boiler noisy and once it was on, the leak was coming through the ceiling. We had switched the boiler off on the last night of the stay due to the noise and the safety concern due to the extreme not water running from both hot and cold taps in the bathroom. "From the moment we arrived all the staff are very friendly and helpful. Our room was of a good size, lovely views and very clean. We had an evening meal in the dining room, which was of excellent quality. The ambience in the restaurant was lovely. We were not disappointed, in fact Hotel and staff exceeded our expectations. The grounds, including the country club, it’s worth walking around. The Ashdown Forest is a very beautiful setting , lots of walks."

"The hotel staff cannot do enough for you, very friendly and efficient. My room was basic, but thats what i paid for. Clean and fresh room, with beach view, plenty big enough for 1 person, which is what i booked. Thankful to all staff, and that there is a lift, as i was on the 4th floor! Perfect stay and great range of breakfast! Many thanks to all at the Cumberland!😁"
