"The staff & food were excellent"

"What a wonderful hotel, and in a brilliant location. Fabulous pool and spa, games room was great for our teenage grandson, and location wonderful, with fab views over the lake from our room. Steam train and aquarium within about 30 steps, as well as Boat rides. Drinks and food a bit pricey, but only 20 mins from Ulverston. Also within easy reach within South Lakes zoo. Whats not to like! "

"Got a great price through Hotels.com.Hotel centrally located between Windemere and Bowness.Free car park a bonus,but could be a little tight manouvering if busy.Staff really pleasant and a credit to the Hotel.Shout out to Tarin on reception for her warmth of greeting,and going out of her way to find me some selotape.Room well appointed with big four poster bed,which was super comfy.Great nights sleep,followed by a tasty and plentiful breakfast,once again served by pleasant and efficient staff.Well done Woodlands,Great stay and Great Staff.."

"Great Staff and location make this five star Constantly surprised how inconvenient and expensive parking is in the UK. Unfortunately we were later in the evening on a busy weekend so I ended up parking down the street in the central city parking lot"
