Crandon Marina is your gateway to a day of fun and adventure on and by the water. Charter a fishing boat, go scuba diving around artificial reefs or simply enjoy the scenic pleasures of watching the sun go down over Key Biscayne.
Sailboats, yachts and fishing rigs all dock at the marina. Get out on the water on a sailing boat and cast your line for some sea fishing. Venture under the waves on a snorkeling and scuba diving expedition. Even if you don’t want to head out to sea, come here for a quayside stroll to look at the vessels and watch them coming and going.
The marina is part of Crandon Park, which is also home to a 2-mile (3.2-kilometre) beach, an 18-hole golf course and a tennis centre. Enjoy a range of activities on the water, including kayaking, canoeing, paddleboarding and kiteboarding. Practice your serve and volley on one of the 23 tennis courts. You can also sign up for lessons to improve your game. Golfers will relish the opportunity to play on the championship course, surrounded by tropical greenery.
Stop by Crandon Park Visitors & Nature Centre and sign up for a guided nature walk of the Bear Cut Preserve, which is situated on the northern tip of Key Biscayne. See the animal and plant life that makes up the preserve's ocean and beach communities. While you are in the visitor centre view the recreated underwater habitats inside the aquariums.
For hours of relaxation, make your way over to the beach, a beautiful and long stretch of sand. Among the facilities here are concession stands, watersport equipment rental and picnic areas with tables and grills. For even more tranquil moments, rent a cabana situated amid the park’s palm trees.
Crandon Marina and Crandon Park are about a 15-minute drive from downtown Miami, and there’s metered parking for more than 3,000 vehicles. The marina is open 24 hours a day while the park’s opening hours are from sunrise to sunset.
