"It is actually about a mile and a half from where the address shows on google maps. There is almost nothing in the area. You have to get a cab into town for anything at all. The apartment itself was not terrible but the a/c is pointed right at the bed. Check out is at 10:AM. Do not recommend it. "

"Loved the pool and area on the roof! My only complaint is the nosey traffic, which can't be helped, but nice to be aware of that. Also, it says oceanfront but there is a busy street, the main one... the ocean is there, but its kinda dirty down on that part and not much beach area. "The property owner was very unresponsive. It was missing a few important amenities, which we then purchased under our own cost. Although the owner promised that we will be reimbursed for the cost, no actual reimbursement was given. There were water leakage in multiple spot which the owner failed to provide any solutions on. "Excellent experience at the Explorean! We were drawn to the resort because of the good reviews and because the excursions were included. We weren't sure what to expect with the excursions (they could been so-so since they were included) and we were very surprised. The excursions were wonderful. Guides Edgar and Jaciel were particularly excellent! So friendly and helpful! The food at both the Explorean and the adjacent Fiesta Americana was fantastic. We loved the jungle environment of the Explorean, and the snorkelling right in front of the Fiesta Americana was amazing!"

Lots to love at Melia Cozumel

"Melia is one of the best all inclusives in Cozumel. Medium size, good beach access and well designed. Friendly and efficient staff, comfy rooms. Top flight liquor and bar drinks. The only flaw is that buffet meals are repetitive and ultimately boring. Best is breakfast with lots of fresh fruit, to-order omelettes, baked goods. For dinner, I would recommend making reservations for the 3 specialty restaurants, no extra charge, which are more interesting, or going the short distance by car or foot to "the Lobster House". Another option is taking a taxi into town where there are many good restaurants. I would return to Melia happily."

"Great hotel. My only one complaint is that you are not allowed to wear flip flops into any of the inclusive restaurants. All I packed was flip flops? It’s a beach resort? I can see no bikinis etc., but flips flops seemed a little silly to me. "
