"Stay was great. Staff were very accommodating and friendly.
Having mobility issues they didn’t have lifts etc so for wheelchair access it’s not suitable but they did have a banister/handrail on the stairs and everything on the ground floor (restaurant and bar) was all on the same level and the main entrance is level too for easy access.
The staff did help with bags to the room.
I’m unsure if this is standard or because they knew I had difficulties.
Overall we were thoroughly impressed "
"Receptionist was fantastic when we were checking in. Hotel was in a good location for everything that needed done, shopping trip and a quick visit to Edinburgh. For a small friendly hotel the restaurant was decent value, the bar wasn't expensive and breakfast was good."
"The home is absolutely charming! Mary and Donald were so sweet and helpful, we felt very warmly welcomed. The room was a bit small, but the bathroom was large and comfortable! Breakfast was filling and fresh, it’s clear lots of love and care go into it. The only issue we ran into was frequency of buses and trains, but if you’re willing to walk for 20 minutes to the train station you can get into Edinburgh within an hour. "
"Loved it for 2 nights in room 217. The reception staff couldn’t have been more helpful as I decided to extend my stay. I was checked in by a lovely lady who helped me join the IHG club and explained everything in great detail. I needed to change room however so Tatiana (reception) booked me a room on the same floor in order that it was an easy change. It was also an empty room so I could just check in at 10am instead of needing to move out and check back in at 3pm.
The breakfast staff were really attentive and the breakfast was so tasty and a great variety of products.
The cleaning staff were approachable and friendly too.
I really enjoyed my stay hence the reason that I extended it. "
