"Property was adequate for my overnight transit. 3mins or so drive from the airport. Wifi connection was good, A/C in the room, I felt safe and I had a quite pleasant restful night sleep. Owner was there to check me in and kindly arranged my airport taxi for me the following morning. I would stay there again for transit stay."

"The property is nice. The resort needs to provide ear plugs for their clients due to the noise of the tree frogs. Because of the way the building was designed, the tree frogs made an echo sound from sun set to sun rise. Other than that the resort has everything, restaurants, pools, bid and small and beach right on the premises."

"The host waited up for us as our flight got in really late, however i kept him informed. On entry to the apartment the first impression although sparsely furnished, the place was very clean with fresh bedding and towels. It would have been really lovely if the host had provided limited beverages, so we could make a hot drink on arrival and first thing in the morning. "Hidden Gem is a perfect place to relax and just hang by the pool, or recline on the deck facing the ocean. It is not a place where you can step out the door and be on the beach or at a restaurant. "We stayed one night at butterfly beach before our flight home. Very spacious rooms with good amenities for a holiday. Due to us returning to Barbados for our wedding anniversary, the wonderful hotel receptionists provided us with a bottle of cava, which was a lovely touch to round off our holiday. Would recommend. "Friendly hotel that was clean and well staffed. It was great for a 3 star and is reasonably priced for families and couples to be able to come and enjoy Barbados. The rooms are lovely and spacious and clean towels are plentiful. The staff are friendly and courteous.I feel there should be an extra cover provided for the bed as one sheet is not enough. That is the only thing though as we had a great stay on this lovely island!"

"Let me start by saying the hotel was clean, spacious, and best of all the location is perfect close to all the fun in St Lawrence Gap. The receptionist Tia was very welcoming upon arrival and made us feel at home. Check In was smooth and we were in our room in no time. Best Hotel for a nice view of the ocean and close to the noghtlife. I wouldnt stay amywhere else."

"This resort was perfect for us. To start, transportation from the airport to the resort was extremely easy to book, efficient and not a far drive from the airport. Check in was seamless. Our room wasn’t ready until 4. They do have a room with a changing room, shower, bathroom so you can change and enjoy the day depending when you arrive. All food here is good, which you don’t come by often at all inclusive resorts. The buffet menu changed daily for dinner and lunch. They have two restaurants on the property which were both good. Umi was our favorite - the sushi was 10/10. Children are allowed at this resort and mostly stay at the pool. There is only one main pool and one small pool (which nobody went in). The beach was great, they come and put up an umbrella for you so you don’t have to worry about getting shade. The staff is very nice. All around I would come back. This is the perfect place to relax & a no frills resort."

"The room we had was lovely the view to see the beach was brilliant and stunning the restaurant was excellent and the staff were very polite and friendly, and the master chef was very nice and the food he cooked was lovely the only bad thing is that we had too leave. We are planning to come back next year 😊 "

"Wow!! We had an amazing week at The Soco. The hospitality, the staff, the food was amazing. Each room had a sea view and is equipped for all you need on an AI stay. The location was ideal for us, the hotel is at the of the boardwalk so you could chose to either drink and eat at the hotel or visit one of the bars and restaurants along the front. Which means you can have a quiet or louder night depending on your mood. The food at the hotel was excellent so we had no issues eating most meals at the hotel. The service was top level and the staff (and general manger) went above and beyond to make our stay the best experience. Some people have mentioned the road noise in the reviews- yes you can hear the road as the hotel is on the main coast road, but this never bothered us and we slept so well! The hotel is boutique with only 24rooms (approx) so the staff get to know you and your preferences and the bartenders knew what drinks to make without us asking LOL In summary - my husband and I have a policy to never stay in the same place or hotel twice as we think the world is too small to repeat a visit - but we would stay at The Soco in Barbados again and already thinking about another visit never year- for us that is top marks!!"
