"We stay here each year on our trip from Bilbao to the Portugal to break up the journey, with our dog. Unique quirky themed hotel, owners are lovely, the hotel also owns a good pizza restaurant in the village which it will book for you (that also allows the dog). Attached to a petrol station, which sounds odd, but it works really well and again very practical. We will continue to return here every year. A gem of a find :)"

"A relaxing and special place to stay . We had a lovely time the food was excellent as were the staff I would recommend staying here if you want a romantic night away or if you have children wanting to stay in a real castle. Also the wine is excellent If you are going to Salamanca or Zamora stay here a gem in the countryside."

"This is a charming hotel on the edge of the town of Toro. We found parking right outside the hotel very easily when we arrived at the check-in time. Absolutely stunning views of the whole area from our bedroom and the restaurants within the hotel The hotel receptionist spoke fairly good English and was really kind and suggesting places we could go and try the local wine. The place is just turned out to me Ideal as we managed to join another group who are having a tour which is something we have been unable to book before we arrived, so we were very pleased. We ate in the hotel in their café because it was raining. It was all inside but if it was warm, you could sit outside and have a lovely view. The restaurant staffs English was a bit patchy and our Spanish is even worse but with the use of Google Translate we managed to order a meal we ended up having the biggest steak I’ve ever seen in my life a bottle of wine a salad and potato croquettes as part of a package deal for two people which came to about €52, which was really good value in our opinion The room was basic but very Spanish decent size bed ideal to crash for a night and in my opinion very good value. If I was coming through here again, I would return . I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this place for someone else to stay. "
