8 minutes from Military Base. Very Clean, staff was nice and professional. Beds are comfortable, indoor pool and hot tub, chlorine a little strong but tolerable. Free breakfast was good for hotel. We ate at 6 am left at 6:30 am got to Hilton Field, got Perfect Seats with plenty of seats left for family day. For graduation leave at 6:15 and you will still get good seats.

It’s grossly unfortunate how the property is neglected. The ceiling in the swimming and hot tub area is falling down. The pool itself was dirty and the hot tub was disgusting. The room smelled awful and was dirty to say the least. The fire suppression system was humming and not in working order. The door handles did not function properly to the rooms making it very easy for someone to walk in unwelcome. The grounds are sadly uncared for. I wouldn’t dare allow my kids or myself to eat the complimentary breakfast due to the terrible condition of this property. I could only imagine the condition of the area where the food is prepped. If a hotel could be a catfish, this would most definitely be just that. Sense I like to give credit where it’s due, the bath towels seemed to be newish and were not too bad. The bed pillows seem to be the size to fit a toddlers bed. The linens were almost antique and the pint job is horrible inside the rooms. This property should be turned in to the state for all of these reasons. If you’re traveling to Fort Jackson for your loved ones army graduation, do yourself a favor and spend the extra $20 per night to stay elsewhere.

Great stay. Room and public areas were very clean. The breakfast buffet was great and well stocked every morning. The staff was very friendly and helpful whenever we needed anything. We will definitely consider Country Inn and Suites if we're in Columbia again

Everything was clean and well organized. The staff was friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable going out of their way to assist. This hotel deserves a higher rating. Like most places, there are some maintenance items which should be addressed but overall, we were very pleased with out stay.

When I arrived there was a sign at the front desk “I’ll be right back helping a customer”. After hitting the call bell twice, I waited approx. 10-15 minutes listening to the attendant laughing/talking in the back hallway. When she did appear and noticed me, she apologized and quickly checked me in. I was a little annoyed after a 9hr drive. The elevator needs updated. The room was ok. The sink was cracked. Other than that, breakfast was good and staff were polite. I would stay again.

Everything was good except the free breakfast doesn't open till 6:00 am when other Country Inn's open at 5:30. The hotel is by the army base and we had to be on the base for graduation early. Hopefully they will consider opening the breakfast a little earlier. Also the toilet in our room was very low. It looked like it was a child's toilet. When someone has knee problems it was hard to use the toilet.
