"The Staff was very nice, and helpful. That is what really saves this review. Let me be clear, this very quiet town is truly a step back in time, and the location to the Castle is want makes it desireable especially if you want to see how things were from the 16th century. The place was clean so that isn't our issue, the issues we had were that we paid for a king bed and got 3 twin beds, not the end of the world but the beds are extremely small and we are not big people. my 12 yr old daughter fell out of the bed as it was so tight. Our biggest complaint was the bedding. It was like trying to sleep on a hard floor with thin flat pillows. It was the longest night of our 12 day trip and no one could get comfortable. The views and hike to the castle was what made it worth this uncomfortable sleeping arrangements. The food was great there and people were very nice. My suggestions to would be, keep the rooms as they are and spend some money on upgrading the bedding and it would have been a much much better experience. Also, the lack of Dinning, there are options but I would recommend letting guest know that from 2:30 to 7:00 pm there is nothing open for Food or Drinks. As we arrived at 2:30pm and found out after so we had to drive 30 mins away after asking some of the locals what was open to find something to eat and drink. again, would not have been an issue if we knew as we would have stopped for that on our way from Rome. "

"Great concierge staff. Breakfast was not up to par. Reasonably close to old part of Sulmona but you'll need a car or taxi to get there. Located in an industrial area, nothing nearby to walk to. "

"The staff were so welcoming and helpful. Large room overlooking the mountains. We had one evening meal in their restaurant. Absolutely delicious, service brilliant and reasonably priced too! The breakfast was excellent with a wide selection of choices. Would definitely stay there again. "

"Hotel Rojan in Sulmona was a highlight of our road trip through Italy. It is run by a delightful family. The charming Rosanna and her son Gianluca as well as the grandson were kind and helpful in every instant. Gianluca designed itineraries in the nearby mountains for us, complete with artistic maps. "Fabulous B&B. Do not hesitate to book. Terrace is so lovely and overlooks the city. The rooms are spectacular and have a history of their own. David is wonderful and goes above and beyond. He made our stay in Sulmona more memorable than we could have imagined. Bkfst was absolutely delicious! Can’t wait to return! ❤️🇮🇹❤️"
