"After a lovely warm welcome we were shown to a bright spacious comfortable room. I particularly liked the lovely comfy sofa (instead of a spindly chair you have to take turns on like most hotel rooms). There is everything you need in the room, fridge with water, tea/coffee facilities, toiletries etc. The breakfast menu was varied and plentiful. The hosts delightful, we will return. "

"We always enjoy our stay at the Lawns when we come to Retford to visit family and friends. The rooms are much bigger than average and there is plenty of wardrobe space. Lovely big towels and a good supply of hot drinks and bottled water.Extremely good value."

"We had a brilliant 1 night stay here on a weekend. The room we stayed in was fantastic,good size and had everything we needed,I wish we had stayed longer! The breakfast was already in the room which I actually really enjoyed,I couldn't believe the choice available,there was yoghurts,fruit,granola,a fresh loaf,porridge,cereal,milk,teas,coffee,hot chocolate, even some britvic orange juice. "Here for a masquerade ball on the Friday evening so stayed over for 2 nights. Lovely room.Very comfy and clean It did get a bit hot and we couldn't turn down the radiator. There was a QR code that you could click on to access the hotel guide.Also a section where you could agree not to have your room serviced and could choose a reward instead(drinks or snacks) I was very impressed as we didn't need our linen or towels changing. "The staff at this hotel were absolutely wonderful. I arrived after a long day and due to a failure of the Hotels.com app, my booking was not showing. The girl on reception found me a lovely room and helped me with the Hotels.com app cockup! I will be staying at this hotel every time I am near Sheffield from now on. The food in the restaurant was good and the service great. Big thumbs up from me, a regular traveler. Well done !"

"Hotel area a little tired especially entrance stairs, room was good a bit cold on entry but soon warmed up once I worked out the aircon unit which is explained in a handy instruction guide. Food was very good and the discount for guests was a nice touch "
