"My first time in Cuba and with only two nights, I felt at home. Since my arrival with the attention of the reception staff Mariem I received an incredible early check in and a great free upgrade to one of their best rooms, the Junior Suit, super comfortable and spacious. "Casa Italia was a beautiful and luxurious experience. One of the nicest places I have stayed, personally. "This charming hostal (really a boutique hotel) gave us an authentic taste of old Havana. It has a quirky, unique style with a lovely bar and balconies. We stayed here at the beginning and again at the end of our stay, so got to know the staff well. "The property was a taxi ride from the main area of Havana but taxis were organised very easily. the rooms and en suite bathrooms were large and the bed very comfortable. shower a bit temperamental but it didn't matter. The house was full of old and interesting artefacts and the main guy spoke really good English and was very helpful. breakfast seemed to be whenever we wanted it and was basically anything we wanted.
