"The Gordon is located near many fun restaurants, shops, etc. The welcome beer/wine & always available lobby snacks are a bonus. Rooms are spacious & nicely decorated. Great dining options in the hotel itself. Only down side is the frequent train horns, but I slept through many. "

"The room is beautiful, bed is incredibly comfortable. The heat in the room did not work however I found a space heater and after a few hours the room warmed up. I did arrive after a snow storm so it was abnormally cold. The motel itself is very nice the grounds are clean and well kept however there is a very large homeless population in the area. "We were the only ones on the property so it was quiet. This beautiful old house is designed with bicycle storage and has a full kitchen, but no TV. The bed was quite comfortable and the bath/shower/tub were nice. We enjoyed our stay. "

"When you travel you make choices. Starting with the destination you build your trip one choice at a time starting with where you will stay. Everything else is built around that. Where you will dine, when you will check in/out, etc. The 5th has it all. Welcoming valets that treat everyone the same. Got a roadworn dusty Forester filled with all manner of outdoor regalia? They treat it with care and can always tell you where it’s parked. The front of the house staff are knowledgeable and friendly, offering you your free glass of wine and a good selection of snacks available day and night. If you for got your pajamas they tell you where to go next door to find something. Our room had a great configuration that took advantage of the view and the fireplace. Check out is at 12 which allows time for a real breakfast at many places within walking distance. Dinner at Marche’ next door is a treat as well. Highly recommended place to take a short break or a longer visit which allows you to explore Eugene. "
