"It is a beautiful villa that will be worthy of many of your photos. But travelers should be aware that the open living space can become uncomfortably cold at Batu's high elevations. In addition, the large number of mosques nearby can shatter any ideas of a peaceful retreat, especially on Friday's when the speakers will be going all day. "There were hiccups because most of the staff didn't speak English. Our room wasn't cleaned, probably due to an oversight. But staff were generally pleasant and helpful. The resort and nearby safari park are beautiful. The safari was very well designed with the lions and tigers kept in enclosed areas without visible bars, while zebras and deer could mingle with the vehicles coming into their area. "
