"This is a lower category hotel in the Melia chain, near 3* not the 4* and above we have stayed in previously and expected. The room was basic but had all amenities and the large bed was comfortable. General areas and pools were good amenities but the standard of cleanliness everywhere was low. The biggest disappointment was the restaurant, salad bar, breakfast cereals and cold food was decent. Fresh cooked food (in front of you) was good but food in self-serve areas was often cold and not tasty. Wine was dispensed from a tap (so not quality (!) while spirits at the bar were premium brands"
