"Everything was good until the evening, the hotel, shut off, all the hallway, lights and stairway lights, my mom is walking down the stairs and she couldn’t see the steps properly and missed and caused her to fall and break her hip and shoulder. The hotel staff didn’t really care to help, we had to call the ambulance and when the help arrived, the hotel staff didn’t really care to help."

"The hotel rates they charged us were not reflective of the rates on their website. We arrived at 3:00 PM and our room was not ready. It was not available until 5:20, and the staff refused to give us a discount for the hours we didn’t get to use the room. They automatically attached breakfast to our stay, even though we didn’t ask or really want it. The facilities were lackluster at best, with the toilet seat sliding off every time we sat on them and the view being of a Walmart parking lot. "

"The his was our second visit to the Barcelo Karmina and it was as lovely as I remembered. The greenery, pools, service and cleanliness were top notch. No matter where one looked, day or night, there was beauty. The staff were friendly and efficient. They made us feel so welcome and took great pride in helping our vacation be stress free. Great attention to detail is given at the Barcelo from food to services and ambience. It is truly an oasis."

"Went to make coffee first morning coffee pot was busted, no bottom. No tea towel to dry dishes, no hand towel in bathroom and no pool towels, used our bath towels for the pool. We weren’t told that there is a charge to clean our room at the end of our stay, was a complete surprise. Expedia you need to let your clients know of the charge."

"If your in the area , This place is great ! The owners, their family and staff are wonderful ! I was dealing with a small issue , and these people truly cared and tried their best to help me ! I will forever be in debt to them ! The area is safe , a few nice resturants , close to beach and taxis easy to get . The rooms were very clean and comfortable ! I highly recommend this place place . "This hotel is very basic and its price is low. You get what you pay for. It is not very clean, unless you get a room with air conditioning because it is considered a premium room. Otherwise the room is not clean. We booked a room with air conditioning but at first they gave us a room without AC. The room is not clean at all. Then we asked to be switched to a room with AC, like we booked and paid for. They switched and the room is much better. If you have better budget, book somewhere...
