It's a lovely property. Quiet and clean. Friendly Staff. There is a small gym and 2 small pools.Around the hotel within 3 mins walk you will have the small day market area that sell local delights. Another 10 minutes walk, an up-scale supermarket called Rimping. To walk to old city square it takes about 35 mins. Alternatively, take Grab. It's easy and very affordable.

Good hotel to stay in Chiang Mai

Nice hotel, quiet but well located (takes 10min to reach old city). Staff is nice. Breakfast area is a little small considering the number of rooms.

Family trip to Chiang Mai

Our family stayed here while visiting Chiang Mai. We had a room right off of the pool that my kids loved swimming in. The hotel is located a little ways away from shopping and activities but if you don’t mind walking, taking a tuk tuk or a grab, then it’s a great place to stay with a family!

I highly recommend Shewe Wana hotel. This is an oasis in the heart of Chiang Mai. The greenery and little pathways and pools are beautiful and serene. The rooms were large with good wifi, air conditioning, beds and a private balcony with furniture. The hotel staff - front desk, the breakfast staff, the manager, security , housekeepers and gardeners are all really friendly and helpful really made the stay even more wonderful. We absolutely loved our stay!

Love the hotel staff and will certainly come back!

What a trip! We were a family of 4 being in Chiangmai for the first time. Everything was simply wonderful and I would like to give a special shout out to Jaybie, Kate, and Alax for not just proving great service but you made our trip memorable. The hotel room was neat and clean and we had everything we needed. Even though there are many other hotel choices in the city but we would definately come back and stay with you in the future. Thank you for a great stay!

Best stay!

We are a family of four, that stayed at the Shewe Wana for five nights in late February / start March 2025. From the very beginning we were met by the sweetest staff. Whether it was in the reception, in the restaurant, by the pool or in the breakfast cafe, everyone was so sweet and helpful. The room we stayed in, was clean, large and very comfortable. Everything was so great, but the best thing was really the food. The breakfast was really really good, but the food from the restaurant was, by far, the best Thai food we had during our three weeks trip around Cambodia and Thailand. So delicious and at very good prices. We can only recommend The Shewe, if you are travelling to Chiang Mai…… And try their Banana Smoothie, it’s a winner.

Property is walking distance to fresh food market, Sunday night market, good eating options and coffee bars and cafes. Easy walk to get fresh fruit and snacks. Breakfast buffet has plenty of cooked options and fresh fruit/bread options. Staff are very helpful and friendly. Property is an oasis off a busy road- once you walk in it’s like being in a different world. Double room suited our family of four, with two bedrooms, two bathrooms, sitting room and balcony. Two pools were very pleasant although we only swam one day out of five. Restaurant for evening meals is veg/ vegan and very yummy food. 10 min grab ride into old town if you want more markets and busy tourist area. Perfect combination of accessible to everything but restful and relaxing when back at resort. The property has good mozzie screens but take mozzie spray- but this is true of anywhere you travel in Thailand

Lovely sanctuary within the city. Family of 5 had a comfortable stay with 2 bedroom suite. Staff was very helpful, good breakfasts. Easy ride to old town.

We had a great 6 night stay. Reception staff were super helpful with organising trips, booking taxis and answering any of our questions. One of our party has a gluten free diet and this was easily accommodated at breakfast. Rooms are spacious and well maintained and we will definitely stay again when we return to Chiangmai.

The location was great... very close to the market with lots of food options. Breakfast was good too. We had a two bedroom suite, which was very spacious and nicely laid out. The only issue were the mosquitos... there was a plugin mosquito machine for each room, which was good... however, mosquito netting hung over the beds at night would have also been helpful. That said, I would stay here again. It was quiet, clean, and a great location.
