"Like most of the locally-owned hotels in Maggie Valley, this is an older hotel. Do not let the looks fool you. Our room was IMMACULATE. The refrigerator is probably the largest one I've ever seen in a hotel room. The king sized bed was SO comfortable! The owner was so friendly and made sure we had everything we needed for a great stay, plus his number if we did have any problems (we did not!) "The hotel staff was great about adding another day to our stay. The room was extremely nice. The only thing was the hot water was not that hot. The weather was cold so a hot bath would have been nice. No complaints, everything went smoothly. Can't wait to be back in Cherokee again. "
