Nice, clean, well positioned. Great for the ferry.
A pleasant stay in a centrally located hotel. Perfect for the ferry port. Close to a free car park. Nice, English speaking friendly staff. Clean and comfortable.

Don't be put off by the 2☆ rating. This wee hotel is good.
The staff are friendly, maid service prompt and efficient and location is excellent. Pretty much central in town and lot's of cafes and restaurant's on the doorstep. The rooms are clean and spacious, however a little outdated. I have stayed in 4☆'s that were worse though..The bed is comfortable.
Negatives are over the weekend it gets noisy from midnight until around 3/4am due to proximity of late opening bars. Not a big issue though.. The toilet whilst clean could definitely do with a refresh but again it's marketed at a 2☆ so i cant really complain, and again its better than some 4☆'s I've stayed in. There is no elevator so you have to carry luggage up the stairs to your room.
The price for my 6 days was so cheap compared to other hotels in Cherbourg. Excellent value.
I would definitely stay here again and I genuinely didn't think i would say that when i booked what I thought was a cheap 2☆ hotel. It's definitely the best 2☆ hotel I've stayed in.
We were on a day trip to Cherbourg so only stayed for one night but we can highly recommend the hotel for its location and the friendliness of its staff. Our family room had everything we needed, with three beds being provided as requested. We slept very well in the comfortable beds. The bathroom was large and clean.
The location is perfect and we received some excellent recommendations of places to eat.
Not related to the hotel but Cherbourg itself - we expected there to be more cafes/bars open in the evening for a coffee or ice cream but everywhere appeared to close at around 10pm or earlier. We would however definitely return for a short break to Cherbourg and Hotel d'Angleterre.

Happy to stay there again
Hotel easy to find and perfectly good for the price. No lift so be aware. Rooms functional and spotless clean, which is v important. Plenty of hot water and friendly reception on desk.
It was an old and not well cleaned hotel , but the position in great and the staff very nice, the african woman in particular.

Small and friendly
Excellent location for the end of the Fastnet race, lovely staff, some renovations were going on which didn’t impact me and all for a new look. I enjoyed my stay…. Thank you
My friend and I went to this hotel with very little French knowledge but the owner was super sweet and did his best to talk to us. He even unpacked his German skills and always helped us when we needed something. A super sweet hotel with small but cosy rooms where you feel right at home in beautiful surroundings. We couldn't have asked for a better stay!

Very clean but
Very clean but badly in need of an over hall. I asked for a quiet room but was given a room with windows on two sides which was very noisy. It also had street lights just outside so should have had blackout curtains. The information I was give n about the time it would take to w all to the ferry was wildly off the mark. He said 15 mins but it was at least 45 if not longer, very badly lit, and altogether un friendly for pedestrians.
