A unique heritage suite! If you don’t like character, this is not for you! We loved the outdoor common deck - perfect for morning coffee or an evening cocktail. We were in the John A. McDonald suite, and loved it. Just a note - it IS up a steep staircase, so mobility challenged folk may have trouble getting luggage up there. We would be very happy to stay there again.

Two reviews should be written for this property. The first night's accommodation was quite unsatisfactory, up two flights of stairs, one without a handrail, an unsightly shower stall and three (live) wasps sharing the space. The owner accommodatingly changed our room for the second night...and it made a world of difference. No stairs, elegantly appointed quarters, mildew - and wasp - free.
