"Room was clean and comfortable, but needs some updates. Service was good. A little disappointed in the history of hotel. Was lead to believe OKeefe stayed here but she did not visit Taos until Mabel Dodge had built her other house. Views and location beautiful, spa nice and I absolutely LOVED the Curtis photos. "We stayed for a night, and it was an ok experience. Breakfast is available but paid and that was not a surprise for us as we knew when booking, but including here just in case that helps. We asked for a non-smoking room but could smell a strong smoking smell (it wasn't cigarette for sure) in the morning, not sure if it was from the room or someone smoking nearby. Our experience was good/excellent except for the smoking smell which made it to ok."

"The stay was peaceful. Sunrise and Sunset was the definition of serenity. It had a very old feel but in this case everything added to the charm.
