"This is a great newer property. Maintenance seems to be well kept and lots of cozy room in the lobby for hanging out even away from the bar. This was our 2nd stay weather related and while i do appreciate the price point and location - the pool needs a better heater or turned up a little warmer for us older bodies, and the beds need upgraded or pillow tops to them. Otherwise, breakfast was good and rooms efficient. Check in is quick and easy as well."

"Great for staying before your trip and extended parking! Everything was good except for noisy people above our room. I’ll never understand why a hotel with so many rooms, obviously no where near full, puts people close to others when they know that noise travels from room to room, especially from rooms above."

"My Place Hotel in Akeny IA is more of a quick, economical, budget friendly hotel. Room and accommodations, bed all sufficient, however the Hotel is used by many traveling service people so as a single woman, I felt it wasn’t perhaps as safe that had a greater mix of families. That said the hotel is in a great location with restaurants, the halls are well lit, and overall a very good choice for the price."
