"I absolutely loved my 2 night stay here for the Death Valley half-marathon. It was such a curious and cute little hotel, so charming and full of character. Check in went flawlessly, and I appreciated that the heating in the rooms was cranked up because it was winter! The hotel was very quiet and calm and the bed was very comfortable. "Reserved and paid 2 months in advance. Arrive for check in and the parking lot was empty and there was a handwritten "closed for business" sign. Attempted to contact the property of course were unsuccessful. No notice, no refund. Further research showed the property was actually sold last year to the city and is no longer a hotel. Not sure why I was allowed to make a reservation in the 1st place."
