"Big room in a quiet old manor/estate. A bit hard to find, google did okay however the entrance was not signed very well. Stairs to room, good breakfast and quiet area. Grounds are dated but the house is clean and spacious. Host was helpful offering maps of the area and ideas for restaurants. "

"No real issues with the hotel other than very hard beds! Breakfast was decent. Had dinner there and it was rather overpriced for what it was. We assumed we would have the discounted rate as a hotel guest since we had automatically received that rate at the previous Inatel but discovered we did not qualify without some membership that was not offered or explained. $21 for a pretty simple biffet not including drinks was a bit high."

"Coimbra is a very busy city with a lot of traffic that clearly creates ongoing parking challenges and general congestion. The property itself is hard to access but once you’re in, is quite good. We were upgraded to a junior suite which was excellent with a particularly good bathroom. The hotel has many group bookings and insufficient elevators so expect a wait at reception or getting to/ from your room. "We LOVED our stay here! Right from when we checked in, we got a glass of champagne and a snack, followed by a wonderful breakfast hand delivered to our room the next morning. Everything was spotless, and the staff was very welcoming. The only thing that you should be aware of is there is no lift, so if you can’t do stairs, ask for a main floor suite.
