"When we arrived at the hotel it had closed down four weeks previously. A notice on the door informed us to which hotel we had been transferred. This was difficult to access as the hotel next to The Chevalier( our new destination) was still under construction. There was no drop off point for luggage and my husband had to carry all bags from a car park about 7 minutes walk away. We were greeted by black billowing smoke. "Perfect location. We went to Carcasson Cite every night for dinner. It is just steps from hotel. Hotel staff very nice. Food was good in their restaurant. Parking is easy. Room had little patio, but too cold now. Patio door did not lock. Never fixed. Area feels super safe, though. Cite shops cute, mostly touristy. Amorino gelato there. Good stay. "

"The room was fairly large and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom needed a bit of attention as the shower head didn’t really fit the holder and kept flipping downwards. The shower tray didn’t seem to drain very well and the whole unit could do with being updated. Otherwise it was good. The staff were friendly and the breakfast adequate. "

"Carcassonne was wonderful. real medieval feeling if you could use your imagination a bit to ignore the modernities. the owner, marie-france, was very nice and accommodating. croissants and bread in the morning were excellent. there is a fridge and tea and coffee were available. there were a few small problems. change of ownership since I booked in may. check in was 2 pm when I booked. 5 pm when I arrived. marie-france left something for me, but I thought it was a piece of paper acknowledging my...
