"When we first travelled in Spain 30 years ago, this was the typical hotel. Honest to goodness accommodation for travellers. It was fine. Comfortable and clean. Old fashioned but fine. Really good value. We left car in hotel garage as parking on street tricky. There is unloading space."

"The trailer was clean but it is a trailer -- tiny and flimsy feeling. The park it is in is clean and the pool was nice. Shop had good range of things and the staff were nice. We had to ask for fans as it was so hot in the trailer and they brought them out. Would not recommend it in mid summer as very hot. Nothing around so take food with you (we cobbled together sandwiches). The main thing was huge number of wild cats that were outside. Obviously very hungry poor things. We counted 18 and more...

"This was a useful stop-over on the way from the Med coast to Santander. The reception staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel restaurant provides a "menu of the day" evening meal option after about 20:00 at a very reasonable charge - although travellers from the UK might find the food a little unusual. There seemed to be no other eating places in the vicinity - so this was a very useful option."

Good hotel for an overnight stop

"We booked as an overnight stop on a long drive so we were grateful for a good room and an easy location not far from the main route we were travelling. We were grateful to find a good hotel that was dog friendly as we were travelling with our Cocker Spaniel. The room was a little worn in places but otherwise a very good stay. Good value for an overnight stop. "

Fantastic hotel

"The hotel is an old castle high up above the valley - how fantastic is that? Wonderful character with plenty to wander around and explore. We would have enjoyed the views from the rooftop terrace had the weather been a bit warmer but we enjoyed looking around the hotel and relaxing with a drink in the main central room. There was no bar as such but drinks were available from reception and we had a great meal in the restaurant. Good service throughout our stay."

Fabulously eclectic.

"A warm welcome from the lovely Beatrix you are immediately struck by the chic decor and calming aromas. The owners have clearly spent a lot of time curating the decorative furniture, from the classic bicycle in the courtyard to the classical wash stand. The rooms are comfortable and there is a vast array of complimentary infusions available on the landing. Very convenient location if you’re heading for the ferry at Santander. "
