"This apartment was disappointing, only because with a tiny bit of care and effort it could be so much more. The apartment was huge! 2 floors, 2 huge bedrooms with large comfortable beds, and 2 full bathrooms. The real estate for the the cost was truly amazing, unfortunately it was difficult to be comfortable in the space. The couch in the “living room” was disgusting, as was all the other upholstered furniture. Visible staining with god only knows what, the mattress didn’t fold into the couch...

"Traveling to Europe with a party of 9 can be challenging, especially when it comes to accomodations. When we found a place that had enough beds for all 9 of us in Venice we booked. We were expecting a medium sized apartment like we had in Rome and Florence, that while a bit tight they worked wonderfully. When we opened the door to Riva Palace we were shocked! Google maps put us in the back of the hotel but someone who worked at the hotel knew we were confused and pointed us in the right direction. I would definitely use this hotel again. "Upon entering the Abazzia after a short walk (5 mins) from the train terminal we were greeted warmly by Matteo. He checked us in early, and explained everything clearly. He was a funny and charismatic host which is what you want in any hotel. The room was beautifully appointed In the old Venetian style, and was clean and comfortable. The hidden gem was the included breakfast which was incredible. Conveniently located and short walk to everything, this is a must add to your hotel list "

Peaceful Location

"Just superb. The rooms were comfortable , the breakfast more than excellent and the best part was the vaporetto into Venice stops in front of the hotel. The lounge area in the front of the hotel is super comfy. Murano has a lot of shopping, and once the tourists are gone it is very quiet with still lots to do. "

"This was my first trip to Venice and the Hotel Cavalletto e Doge Orseolo was a great location for us to explore Venice from. Like most structures in Venice this obviously is an older building, but it is very well maintained and updated. They also had a very good full breakfast buffet included with the room. My only complaint was there was no hot water on our first morning, but they fixed that as soon as we notified them."
