"The stay there was generally great. Good view from the accommodation, quiet and good breakfast. Service is nice, and efficient through WhatsApp. Only one issue is the last night of my stay there are termites. I know that they are not harmful, but the wings and worms dropped on my baggage. I don’t know if there are efficient and sustainable way to avoid this or not. Guess it might be a common issue living in old buildings. Overall, Ouro Preto is so nice, worth coming and living for some time."

"Pousada do arcanjo is a gem! This beautiful colonial hotel is conveniently located near the historic section of Ouro Preto. The staff wear period costumes which is such a fun touch. They are super friendly and helpful. The cuisine in Minas Gerais is said to be the best in Brazil and the hotel’s full Brazilian breakfast (café colonial) is a shining example. There’s a lovely afternoon tea as well! My room was very comfortable. I can’t wait to visit again! "

"Looks nice property , but very noise at night time . We stay #29. Extremely small . Basic breakfast , the best was the cheese Bread . The towels is very old . White ? No . They are almost grey and very bad quality . The employees are wonderful . Our sink was constantly dripping water and floor was wet the most the time . Very nice way to save some water . "Very stylish accommodation close to everything, very convenient and safe parking. You’re transported back in history with modern conveniences and beautiful view of the town. Staff speaks English which is be big reprieve from translator on cell phones. Breakfast is awesome and everything is organic, I haven’t eaten eggs with yellow orange yolks since I was a child! "Good location, beautifully decorated and very clean. Breakfast is good but dinner mediocre. Had reservation for 3 nights but had to cancel the last one due to flight changes. Hotel staff (that only spoke Portuguese) claimed that that had to be approved by Expedia. Contacted Expedia who said that they had to ask the hotel (Catch 22?). After several conversations with both of them I managed to get a small discount that was far inferior to the cost of one night. Will not use Expedia again."

"The photos of the double room are misleading. It appeared to have plenty of space with a nice view of the busy city sidewalks. Instead, our room was woefully small and was damp with a smell of mildew. Our view was an alleyway rather than overlooking the business of the people around town.The staff was friendly but not very helpful overall. We plan to visit this amazing town again but will skip staying here next time. "

"Atendimento muito agradável de todos! Quartos confortáveis e perto do centro. Café da manhã gostoso. Quarto que fiquei (com varanda)não tem central de ar apenas ventilador que foi suficiente. "The Pousada Brasil is a 6-7 minute walk to the main town square, and the owner/manager is very friendly and helpful. As with many pousadas, the hotel is a very traditional building with a little balcony, nice windows with shutters.
