"While off a busy road, it's situated in an area that is walkable to a number of places. I don't mind the walk and it took 20 minutes to reach the city center and 30 minutes to walk to the north campus of Univ of Galway. The facilities are modern and tidy. The unexpected surprise was having a convenience store on the premise - cheaper prices for things than $20 euro breakfast."

"This is a very well kept property. The staff is wonderful and the location is perfect, right at the Spanish Gate and Quay St. there are unlimited dining and shopping opportunities. The bar area is lively and welcoming with great service. The breakfast was decent but we chose to walk up Quay St for better options. Our room was very comfortable and modern. "

"The hotel is very convenient to get into city Centre! Our first impression when walking into the hotel was very modern and beautiful, but when we got off the elevator on our floor I felt we were in a different hotel, it was dark and a little dated! I’m all about conserving energy but if I was traveling alone I would’ve felt a bit uneasy going to my room! The room was very clean…we were staying 2 nights, so we didn’t need housekeeping but they were very kind by leaving a bag outside our door...

"We loved the Western. The location was amazing. We walked to all the shopping, attractions and pubs. Our room had amazing views and was spacious and comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful. Our last night we spent in the hotel pub and they had the most amazing musicians playing and singing. We really enjoyed this and wanted to stay longer. We hope to stay here again someday. "The hotel overall is very nice! When we were there, there was a fair going on right outside our window. It wasn’t nearly as noisy as we thought it would be though. The area felt very safe. The breakfast is nice as well. The air conditioning didn’t seem to work which was unfortunate."
