"While the rooms are basic, my king suite was roomy and had a fridge, microwave and coffee maker. Breakfast had decent choices and the coffee urn was out early. "Our stay at Casa Chameleon was beyond superb. All staff members were attentive and friendly. We were consistently addressed by our names and greeted by all staff we passed. When issues popped up in our room (the air conditioner and hot water not working), they were fixed expediently. "We stayed with 2 littles under 5 and had a good time. The pool area is great and the staff were absolutely wonderful. There is laundry service on site and a restaurant. The food was good and our experience, short was fantastic. The room was fully equipped with even a ricr cooker. The property is well kept, and clean! The rooms are a bit dated but well worth the stay! Definitely recommend if just for the pool and wonderful welcoming staff! "

"I absolutely fell in fell with this place! The location is perfect with walkable to everything, the views from the lobby and main restaurant were gorgeous, beachfront, they have several pool were you can order drinks and food! The staff is so friendly! I will be back!!"

"This was a great QUIET little resort. We stayed 14 days and enjoyed or time at CC. Positives: the staff was awesome from the Kitchen staff to the housekeepers and maintenance staff. Everyone worked to ensure our experience was positive. Too many shining stars to list. Food was always tasty and lots. Place was well maintained. Negatives: There is no transportation provided and it was a $65usd taxi ride into town and back. The beds are rock hard. If you have a bad back or hip issues this may be a problem. We stayed during tropical storm and the work this resort did to ensure or safety and well being was the number 1 priority. All staff including the Management deserve a huge thank you. We will be back for sure!"

Planet Hollywood Costa Rica, An Autograph Collection All-Inclusive Resort

"We were a little hesitant about booking the Planet Hollywood hotel because we were worried it might be too "gimmicky" and we wouldnt get a good vibe for the culture and country. It was awesome- far exceeded our expectations. The resort was smaller, but all the staff got to know us, were super friendly and wabted to make sure we had an amazing experience. They had a lot of restaurant options, and the food was DELICIOUS. We have been to a few all-inclusive resorts before, and this one had the beat food by far. They have a coffee shop with freshe coffee, pastries and ice cream. The buffet was expansive with a lot of options, and the dinner restaurants were incredible. We had lunch by the pool at the burger bar often, as they always had entertainment happening dueing the day by the pool or at night in the main building- we were never bored! It was wonderful for our teenage daughters to be able to wander by themselves and we didn't feel nervous for their safety. We would definitely reccomend it to anyone, and we hope to come back! "

Hotel Riu Palace Costa Rica - All Inclusive

"I really loved the staff and I did enjoy the resort but there are a few things that need attention. I like that you can go to the other Rio resort as well. I will say the buffet was great for breakfast and lunch but at dinner time it was not so great. The seating was a little unorganized at the buffet for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Some people would just be told to sit anywhere and there would be someone sitting there already so it caused some confusion and frustration with some guests. The A La Carte restaurants were not explained properly at the front desk. We were told to go at 530pm to make the line and then we would receive a beeper to come back when a table was ready but that was not the case at all. We needed to go back once they opened and see if they had any tables for the night. The pool bar staff (Calero, Christopher and Richard) were amazing and the drinks were always on point. Pool entertainment was good. Naye always made her way around talking to everyone and I loved that she was so personable. Night shows were pretty good. The room was cleaned everyday but our TV did not work. I called a few times and went to the front desk several times and no one ever came to fix it. The beach was a black sand beach and wasn’t too pretty. The amount of solicitors on the beach was insane! We walked down there once in our 6 day stay and that was enough. I would definitely go back and give it another try. "
