We booked the Pines for 3 nights and we were both pleasantly surprised, it's a gem. The lodges are set around a tranquil lake and are easily accessible from the M6. The lodge was very clean and very well equipped, comfortable beds, quality bedding and towels and central heating. The staff were really friendly and informative. The bar area is relaxing and inviting, I cannot really comment on the quality of the food at the restaurant as the lodges are geared for self catering with extensive equipment, such as, a dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, toaster, everything you need is provided...so we didn't eat in the restaurant but did notice the menu prices seemed expensive. Obviously been so close to major roads we expected some noise from traffic, but it was minimal and the lodges are double glazed. We really enjoyed our stay😊 I'd definitely recommend giving the Pines a visit.

Amazing stay with my husband and one year old son Very accommodating with cot and highchair in lodgewould definitely stay again. Staff really friendly There was some damage to the lodge from previous people but other than that clean and tidy.

Very clean lodge. Well maintained and felt modern. I was surprised at the high quality based on the very reasonable price point......exceeded my expectations. Overall amazing place and a lovely place to stay. Staff also very welcoming. Northern hospitality at its best.

Great value
This was our 2nd stay at this resort and it probably won't be our last. It is great value, we had a studio lodge which gives so much more than a hotel room. A huge super king bed, dining table, mini kitchen and sofa. On the side of the lake it is very pretty for walking and watching the ducks. There is also crazy golf and childrens play area. There is a also an indoor swimming pool although it looked great, we didn't use . We ate in the restaurant twice, staff are friendly and the food enjoyable. Most nights there is also caberet entertainment in a separate room. Reception staff are also friendly and have a new text message system of keeping in touch.
