Great staff. Hallway smelled like cat pee. Rooms were comfortable and relatively clean but in disrepair. Parking is great. Neighborhood is a bit seedy party town. Lots of excellent food options and pubs steps away from hotel.

Absolutely loved the County Hotel! Everything I needed and staff went out of their way to help. Beautiful room. Lift was really great because im disabled and find stairs difficult. Reception staff very friendly and helpful. Family room was spacious and excellently cleaned. For the price it was very reasonable. 2 minutes to railway station , and bars and eating houses. An excellent location for all amenities. Take into consideration that this building is very old but kept to good standard . Loads and loads of towels for one night stay. If in Carlisle again I would definitely stay here everything you need on the doorstep

It is easily accessible I'm disabled and in a wheelchair but everything is accessible. The staff are so friendly and helpful. I enjoy the shopping areas of Carlisle and its so easily from the hotel.

Hotel was beautiful in it’s day. Most of the rooms have not been renovated for quite some time. The bathroom had peeling paint, mold and very old fixtures. The windows, carpeting and furniture were very old and worn. We were told 7 rooms were renovated and the one we saw was an improvement. The lobby and common areas still pretty cool to look at although the glass in the entry door was broken and boarded up. The breakfast was pretty good. The lady at the desk at night (Niko) was very nice and accommodating.

Overnight Stay

Great location, central to the lively city centre and on the doorstep of the railway station. Although there's a busy night-time economy all around the hotel, we didn't experience and noise disturbance.

Quite satisfied

Friendly staff in a city centre hotel. It was clean, good breakfast. I was happy with the room. The car park was right behind the hotel and took me a while to find it amongst other private car parks. The wifi was a touch tempermental at times.
