"5 star Top rating for the location and amenities. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. Our room was on the second floor. Maverick, the hotel front desk concierge, was very friendly and patient with us. He welcomed us on our first day and answered all of our questions. Maverick arranged all our tours with Andy for the night tour and Abel for the morning boat tour. Both did a fantastic job, but especially Abel, who went above and beyond on the wildlife tour. "This is pretty good for a short stay downtown San Jose. The downside is that it's a hostel, not a hotel. It's weird that they call it a hotel. And of course I had a private room with a private bathroom but this is definitely not a hotel."

"We love our room, it was comfortable. The restaurant is amazing and staff is very friendly. We were a little bit worried about some bats hanging outside the bathroom (behind the fence). Our room didn't have air conditioning but it wasn't necessary at all, the design of the room make it very confortable. "
